How to apply and how the selection process takes place

The degree course in Computer Engineering has a limited number of students: the maximum number of enrolled students who can be admitted is set at 225.

To enrol, you must take part in a selection based on qualifications; you can find the relevant notice on this page and on the University’s Matricolandosi portal.

The selection is divided into three sessions: roughly one with a registration deadline in July, one in September and one in October.

WHO CAN

ITALY

The selection is open to those who:

  • hold an upper secondary school diploma in accordance with the regulations in force, or a qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable.
  • have taken the TOLC-I delivered by the CISIA Consortium at one of the authorised venues, during the established periods, according to the procedures and schedule published on the CISIA website, by midnight on the day of registration for the selection. For the purposes of this announcement, the TOLC-I taken as of February 2018 is valid.

For each session, a merit list is drawn up in descending order of marks obtained by summing the marks obtained in the MATHEMATICS section + 1/30 of the sum of the marks obtained in the LOGIC, SCIENCE and VERBAL UNDERSTANDING sections of the TOLC-I.

Those who have been placed in the relevant number of vacancies are declared winners.

Who wins

For each session, a merit list is drawn up in descending order of marks obtained by summing the marks obtained in the MATHEMATICS section + 1/30 of the sum of the marks obtained in the LOGIC, SCIENCE and VERBAL UNDERSTANDING sections of the TOLC-I.

Those who have been placed in the relevant number of vacancies are declared winners.

A second session is only activated if, at the end of the registration procedures of the first session, there are still vacancies. Similarly, the third session is only activated if there are vacancies at the end of the registration procedures for the second session.

The remaining number of places, if available, is published on the University’s Matricolandosi portal in August for the second session, and in September for the third session.

For the first session only, candidates are only eligible for admission if they have obtained a minimum score of 8 points in the MATHEMATICS section. Unsuccessful candidates are not included in the ranking list.

If you are a competition winner, you must complete your registration within the peremptory deadline indicated in the ranking list or in the scroll. See the dedicated page on the University’s Matricolandosi portal.
